The term “Sentio” is Latin for feeling, seeing & perceiving and with that thought in mind Sentio Advisory Initiative (“Sentio”) was incorporated in India on November 08, 2011. At Sentio, we advise our clients on labor regulations & working conditions that are applicable in the regions from where they source their product(s). We conduct thorough due diligences of their suppliers’ manufacturing facilities to identify gaps, and then provide consultation to them on sustainable ways to remediate these gaps. Our due diligence process is different from the usual practice of conducting social audits, since our process involves an interactive approach ensuring full transparency.

Over the years Sentio has had the privilege of advising multinational brands across the globe and even assisted them in implementing the requisite labor & environmental standards across their supply chains. In 2017, Sentio became a signatory to The Social & Labor Convergence Project by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and actively provides inputs to the Tool Development & Verification Working Groups.
Sentio has been recognized as an Affiliated Institute of the Apparel, Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council and as a Project Implementation Agency for the National Skill Development Corporation (“NSDC”), both initiatives by the Government of India as part of the Skill India & Make in India missions. Through these recognitions, Sentio is now authorized to issue supply chain workers from the Apparel Industry Skill Grade Certificates, providing formal recognition to the skill sets possessed by them. We have already certified over 5,000 workers and plan to cover 100,000 more over the course of the next 3 years.
